Nearly 4 years

My husband, daughter, and I have lived in Tucson for nearly 4 years now. Because I've been thinking about that, I'm going to subject you to some of our first photos from Sabino Canyon. (And by 'our' I mean 'my husband's.) For this post, I take you back in time to June 28, 2007.

That's me heading out on the Esperero Trail (with the backpack I now use to change the hummingbird feeders).

Yes, that's me on the Rattlesnake trail (more or less). Tomorrow's post will bring you Seven Falls. With real water!!

Canyon Mystery

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to solve this canyon mystery, namely, what is this? Past stop 8, past the Cochise rock you'll see this set of pipes (?) and piles of rubble. (Click on the photo for a larger view.) Take the trail at the end of the road for a closer look. Of course, if you already know what this is, don't leave us in suspense! I'll post the true story as soon as I have it.

Name That AZ Tree!

Yes, it's an Arizona Sycamore. Beautiful white bark. There's a nice one at Bridge 2 and other places along the creek.

Canyon Curiosity?

Are these 'hazardous bridge' signs unique to Sabino Canyon? Has anyone seen one elsewhere in the English-speaking world?
