Unfurling

Sacred Datura (Datura wrightii) is in the Nightshade Family (Solanaceae) (along with tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes, tobacco). You can learn a lot more about plants in this family, of course, but one tidbit is that the flowers generally have 5 fused (or connected) petals.
